Week Ahead!

Here's a look at what's coming.... the weather is perfect for walking, running, hiking, and of course, sipping a refreshing beverage post workout!

We sure could use more volunteers for the Team R.E.D. aid station at the Healthy Human Race!  If you're available, please contact Katie - details in the Volunteer section below.

Also, if you want a chance to join a Ragnar team, see an opportunity in the race section! It's not too late!

Group Run/Walk Opportunities

Monday 6pm:  The Monday Maniacs are heading to Douglas for an out and back on the Douglas Trail.  You can go as far as you like, and turn around!  Bring a cooler with beverage of choice to have a beverage in the parking lot if weather permits, of course, we could also dip into the Douglas Saloon and Social Club!  If you've never been in the Saloon, it's a treat!
Tuesday 6:15pm:  The trail crew is heading to Willow Creek for 1-2 loops around the lake! The following link will help you find the parking lot to get connected at!  https://www.google.com/maps/preview?q=43.940676,-92.483554&num=1&t=h&z=16
Wednesday 5:45pm:  Another hill workout is on tap at Soldiers Field Memorial parking lot in Rochester.  It's always a short warmup to the base of the hill, then up an down - repeat!
Thursday 6pm:  Team R.E.D. is heading to Rochester for a Birthday Party!  Cathy T is hosting us at 720 30th St NE in Rochester.  She's having a theme of "It's Everybody's Birthday, Sometime!"   We'll go for a run or walk, and then come back for the celebration. Our host is providing a main course (in a bun), cupcakes complete with candles and water.  Please bring something to share, your own beverage and a chair!

Race Opportunities

Aug 15-16th - Ragnar Relay - Mike S is on an ultra team and they had a teammate drop out due to a conflict, and need a replacement!  If you're available, contact Mike at mtschmitt@gmail.com
Aug 16th Ag Days 6K - The race takes place in Spring Valley as part of their celebratory weekend.  It's not every day you get to race a 6K. More details at http://rochestertrackclub.com/main.asp?SectionID=3&SubSectionID=28&ArticleID=620&TM=36185.41

Volunteer Opportunity!

We are only two weeks from the Healthy Human Race!  This event is going to be much larger than the race formerly known as Rochester Half.  Team R.E.D. is hosting the 2nd water stop, please contact Katie if you can help!  The 2nd waterstop is a great one, as you'll get the chance to wrap up early and get to the finish line if you're interested in watching, or celebrating with Teammates.   Contact Katie at katie.massen@tenethealth.com
