Making a Difference - To say the least!

Four Team R.E.D. members found themselves in the right place, at the right time, and they were all ready and able to take the right action.

Ann, Matt, Megan & Lorelei were running in the Med City Fall Half Marathon this weekend, when they came upon a fallen runner.  He had no pulse.  They started chest compression's and saved his life!

We're proud to call you all friends!

Heroes Among Us! - Matt, Ann, Megan & Lorelei finishing together.

Wednesday Speedwork takes a week off

This Wednesday's regular track workout is not taking place.

Many Team R.E.D. members who would regularly be part of that workout are participating in the Mayo Open on Thursday night, and that will become the new speed session for the week! - that's not to say you can't run a track workout.. both Byron Track and Soldiers Field are open to the public.

Thursday 6pm'ish - The Mayo Open is a fun cross country course race to test yourself!  The event is FREE, and starts after the High School event is complete.  You'll run the same course the high school athletes just finished competing on.  After the event, we'll head to Forager Brewery at 1005 6th St NW, Rochester.

Weekend updates to follow in the next post.. . Keep it rolling everyone!

Sorry for the delayed post this week, as I've been in a firestorm of activity this past week -- Byron Cross Country raced Thursday, Saturday and host a home meet on Tuesday! - they are keeping me hopping! --

I'll add another post within the next couple of days to get us through the next weekend, - and to acknowledge if there is a track workout or not on the eve of the Mayo Open.  If someone wants to lead one, we'll have one, if not, not.

Monday 6pm:  Monday Maniacs are running from the Crooked Pint at 2723 Commerce Drive NW Rochester (this is the same location as the previous Green Mill).  They have a nice patio, and beer!  - and a great location to get on the trail and run or walk!
Tuesday 6pm:  TerraLoco continues the 5K charity series! Come join, and pay just $5 to run or walk, and know you're helping a local charity!
Tuesday 6:15pm:  Chester Woods is the location for the trail running fun!  Get out there, it's such a great place to log the miles!
Wednesday 6pm:  Track workout TBD
Thursday 6pm'ish -  Team R.E.D. is running the Mayo Open and gathering in Rochester post race.  This event starts when the high school athletes have completed the Mayo Cross Country invite.  This event is FREE and also a Rochester Track Club Grand Prix event.   -- Post race we'll scoot over to Forager Brewery at 1005 6th St NW Rochester.

Tuesday 6:15pm:   The Tuesday Trail crew is heading to Bill Barnacle State Woodland trails (just outside of Rochester. It's an old stagecoach trail and quite a bit of fun.  You can follow the crowd by meeting at the BP Gas Station in Marion along Hwy 52 south out of Rochester.  This the community of Marion, rather than Marion road.
Wednesday 6pm:  Speed work on the track in Byron.  Come out and crank it... it's fun to do speed sessions, as you are never alone on the track!  No matter what your pace, you can challenge yourself. The Byron Track is located behind the middle school at 601 4th St NW.
