Wow!

How lucky we have been this fall, with great running weather!  That was a bit of the chatter at the Tuesday Trail run near Eyota tonight.  (the rest of the chatter was much more fun, but the weather was worth a solid mention!)

If you've never joined Mason's Trail crew.. you should do it! and since you should do it, you should do it next Tuesday!  -- the plan next week is to run on the Douglas trail, starting and finishing at the Douglas Saloon... let's fill the place up!

Another Note:
Team member Gwen is offerening to lead a few things. (I was a little slow getting this posted, but there is still time!)  Be sure to connect with her if you're interested.  See he notes below regarding things she's happy to assist with.    Thanks Gwen!

1) Coordinate packet pick-up and carpools to the Monster Dash Half-Marathon/10 Mile races next Saturday October 27th.  Packets must be picked up Friday. Race is Saturday. They can send me an e-mail at gwenjacobson@charter.net   To pick up their packets I will need a copy of their driver license and their Bib Number which they can look up on the Monster Dash website.  See info below.

10-Milers and Half Marathoners must pick up their packets at packet pick-up.There will be no race-day packet pickup for the 10-Mile and Half Marathon.  Please bring with you your photo ID and your bib number    http://www.minnesotamonster.org/bib-numbers.html

2) Coordinate an order for Red running leggings. Brock at Terra Loco is checking into this for me. If we can get enough orders we will get a better price.  I would need to know name and size they would need.  Again, they can e-mail me and then I can determine what the interest is and work something out with Brock.  gwenjacobson@charter.net.   Need to get rolling on this if we want them for warmth for Living History race.

This Thursday 6pm:
Team R.E.D. is running from WildWood Bar & Grill.  This was the fan favorite on Team R.E.D.'s facebook poll... they have lots of TV's for  you Viking Football fans... and they have friendly service and good prices... come on out!

This Weekend:
Spirit Run takes place at 9am Saturday from Holy Spirit Church in Rochester.  This is a Rochester Track Club grand prix event, so if you're a member, there's even more incentive!

Lost Creek trail run is planned for 9am Saturday on the Lost Creek Hiking Trail in Chatfield. The Lost Creek Hiking Trail is a non-paved trail that runs 6.5 miles in one direction, along a
hilly and somewhat challenging route. A shuttle ride to the west end of the trail will be available leaving Groen Park at 9:00 a.m. (.25 miles west of the stop light in Chatfield). Water and refreshments will be provided along route. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, which will be transported
out along the trail. Simple snacks will also be provided. Although no registration is required, we encourage those wishing to participate to send an email to lostcreekhikingtrail@gmail.com to help us properly prepare for the event. Free will donations accepted. All proceeds will go to the Bluff Country Hiking Club, a 501C (3) non- profit club, to improve and maintain the trail.

The Lost Creek Hiking Trail was developed by the Bluff Country Hiking Club and opened in 2011. The trail was made possible by the generous private land owners who granted permission to access their land along the path. Please contact the club (jenniferbradt@msn.com) if you have any additional questions.
