It's a new week!

We had three, that's THREE new members join Team R.E.D. during Off Season Striders!  Welcome to Shannon, Randy and Jeff! --  we didn't have the Team R.E.D. tee's with us so we will catch them next time with the shirt presentation pictures!

Here's what's coming up.... fyi.. Tuesday is loaded with options!

  • Sunday 8am:  Off Season Striders from Panera South in Rochester.  It's a great location to catch the clear trail!  Come back for some coffee and social post run or walk.
  • Monday 6pm:  Monday Maniacs run or walk from Beetles in Rochester!  Of course, don't forget it's some of the best popcorn around!  See you there... no matter the pace!
  • Tuesday 5:30pm: Get stronger with a great hill workout!  Meet at Edina Realty near TJ Maxx Plaza.
  • Tuesday 6pm:  TerraLoco continues their 5K charity series. Come out and support the great local effort.. min donation of $5 requested!
  • Tuesday 6:15pm: The trail crew is strapping on the snow shoes (snow permitting) at Quarry Hill!  Come prepared to run in the event the snow is not cooperative.
  • Thursday 6am: Get your speed rolling at the indoor track of RCTC.
    • The field-house is open to runners/walkers all week days from 6am-8am... and open again after 5pm for walkers only.. the venue is FREE to use, however, please bring dry clean shoes change into once you're inside the building.  No outdoor shoes on the track.
  • Thursday 4:45pm:  Progressive Run... we will pick up the pace, get faster, at each mile mark.  this progression is 7.5 miles.. but you can progress any distance you want to try!  -   the paces can very too, as long as you're getting faster throughout the run, you're doing the workout!  ---
    • This Progressive Run starts from the Bears Den at 4:45pm (we don't have much time to spare to get back in time for the 6pm run, so we will not be waiting for late-comers.)
    • If you run the Progressive Run you might consider running a cool-down with the team, or just settling in for drinks/food at the Den... all is good.
  • Thursday 6pm:  Team R.E.D. is heading to the Bears Den in Byron... plan on 3, 4 or 6 miles of fun!  Again, no matter how fast or how slow you like to go, all are welcome!
Look a little bit ahead, and The Frozen Goose 10K/5K Run/Walk is coming up on Feb 7th!  It's a great fundraiser put on by the Optimist Club.  Details can be found at frozengoose.com

I'm starting to get quite a few questions about the USATF Team Circuit.  The first race in the series is The Irish Run in St Paul on March 22nd...  check back Sunday evening for an update on the series, and what it means to be a member of Team R.E.D.s USA Track & Field Team.
