The Week!

Lots of stuff!
  • Tuesday Night Track or Hills: Meet at the RCTC indoor track anytime after 5pm for a speed session or hit the hills at 10th Street & 9th Ave SW. For hills you can park at the Soldiers Field Memorial and get a short warmup heading to the base of the hills.
  • Wednesday Running Room Birthday!:   The following is from the running room distribution list.   **You are invited to celebrate with us!  Join us Wednesday night at 6:00 for presents, cake and a run (so there's no guilt about the cake)!  Distances range from a 23 minute run/walk for Learn to Run to 6 miles for marathoners!  Free technical shirts will be given away while supplies last, so join us!  Afterall, you are the reason we are celebrating yet another successful year in Rochester!***
  • Thursday Morning Progressive Run:    Starts at 5:30am from 805 1st Ave NW in Byron.    The entire workout lasts 6.5 miles and progressively gets faster as you run.
  • Thursday Night Team R.E.D.:   Come to the Bears Den in Byron early to hear guest speaker Jim Parry!   Jim will speak at 5:30pm about his endurance challenge of 7 marathons in 7 consecutive days, and 'why he's doing it'.    Then we'll head out on our run/walk starting at 6pm with the route talk.    ** Note:  Don is planning on frontloading a few miles, if you'd like extra miles, plan to meet him at the Den at 5:30pm. **
  • Saturday RAC Run:   The marathon training long run officially starts at 7:15am from the RAC in Rochester.  The scheduled route is 18.6 miles.   Check back to see if any groups are forming for additional early miles.
