Keep it Rolling!

There were some great results in Boston with several members re-qualifying for Boston in Boston - additionally, there were some struggles with the warmer weather and challenges of the course.  - All in all - being part of the Boston Marathon Tradition carries the day!  Nice work to all!  - They had quite a crew at Cheers prior to the event!

What a great crew at the Boston Marathon!

Here's a few of things coming up the next few days!

  • Saturday 7:15am - The marathon training long runs continue from the RAC.  Bring $1 to support the aid stations provided along the way.  The route has 16.2 Mile or 8'ish miles depending if you're training for a full or half.  You can see the route here http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6846992
    • There is a small group meeting at the RAC at 6am to preload.
  • Saturday 8am - If you're seeking a trail run, the 507 Running Crew is heading to Oxbow park near Byron.  This is a great park to run! - All are welcome, any pace.   https://www.facebook.com/events/491150514423213/
  • Sunday 8am - Off Season Striders are heading to the Peoples Food Co-op.  This puts us in a nice city center run!  Join for the run or walk, and stay for the social! http://myemail.constantcontact.com/Upcoming-RTC-Races---OSS-Weekend-group-run.html?soid=1110675264877&aid=xHQe40nFZ5g

  • Monday 6pm - Monday Maniacs are gathering at Beetles Bar & Grill in Rochester.  This location gives us a wonderful opportunity to head in many directions, but they all lead back to the bar! - weather permitting.. Patio!
  • Tuesday 6:15pm - The Tuesday Trail Crew is running at Bill Barnacle! - this is a nice hideaway you'll want to visit.
    • We'll do the out and back along the old stagecoach trail at Bill Barnacle woodlands. Wear shoes you don't mind getting a little damp.
    • Meet at the Marion BP gas station. That's on Highway 52 SOUTH of I-90 right near the KOA campground. Go south out of Rochester on 52 and you can't miss it. It will be on your right.
  • Wednesday 6pm - Speedwork on the track in Byron.  This should be on your list of things to do if you want to get faster at any distance!  - We turn on the stadium sounds system and away we go! - As with all group runs, all paces are welcome - challenge yourself!
  • Thursday 6pm - Billotti's got their liquor license back, and after a tough road for them, let's show them some love and walk and run from their location!  - we can easily get onto the cascade trail from there and enjoy another nice evening together!
