Quickie

I'm still past due on posting pictures from Disney and Surly... it'll get done!  In the meantime I'd like to quickly congratulate a handful of the Disney Runners. - While everyone who took part did great, the following each had something that stood out..  When the pictures post, you'll see all the Dopey's and Goofy's and Whatnots!
  • Congrats to Aaron on his first full marathon!  Following the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon... his first full completed the Dopey!
  • Congrats to Ann for setting a personal record in her marathon!  Again, another Dopey!
  • Congrats to Dan for setting a personal record in his marathon! - It's getting old now, but yes, his PR came at the end of the Dopey Challenge!
  • Congrats to Gwen for taking 1st place in her age group in the Marathon! - of course, also while completing the Dopey!
Here's a look at what's up next!
  • Thursday 6am - Speed work on the indoor track at RCTC.  Remember, this facility is available for running or walking at no cost each morning from 6-8am. It's also available for walking only, after 5pm.
  • Thursday 6pm - Team R.E.D. heads to the Bears Den in Byron. We'll get our run and/or walk in, then return to the Den (routes will be options of 3, 4 or 6 miles).   When we're at the Den we plan to hand out The People's Choice Awards!  - These are awards that were voted on at the summer Pentenial Celebration.
  • Saturday 7:30am - Join Off Season Striders at Brothers Bar & Grill.   As always, part behind Brothers and use the back entrance.  Always fun to run from Brothers!
  • Saturday 5:30pm  - Rochester Track Club Banquet... - The evening consists of a social hour, dinner, prizes and awards and a great speaker!  Visit the following link for details.  http://rochestertrackclub.com/main.asp?SectionID=2&SubSectionID=27&ArticleID=694
  • Sunday 8am - Off Season Striders is at it again.. this time from Dunn Bros North.

In a previous post we listed the USA Track & Field Team Circuit Races and I  noted that Grandmas was no longer part of the circuit... well, that has changed!  Grandmas Marathon is back in the circuit.  This weekend I'll post details as to how you register for USATF -- then if you're interested in competing for Team R.E.D. you can get it done!
