Zumbro Bottoms is the place to be for many this weekend! - Make it memorable!

Best wishes for great weather, strong running and incredible camaraderie to all those tackling Zumbro Bottoms this weekend!  The 100 Milers are on the course now.. the 50 Milers will start at midnight tonight and the 17 milers will join the fun Saturday morning!

Several Team R.E.D. members are going not only to run, but also to volunteer and offer great support to the competitors!  - Nice work and have a blast! - Stories will follow I'm sure...

For those not participating at Zumbro Bottoms.. here's what's up this weekend.

  • Saturday 7:15am:  The marathon training long runs continue from the RAC. This week's distance is a bit over 19 for the full marathoners and just over 9 for the half marathoners.  You can see the route map at https://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6835608   - you can find the route maps each week here, or also by visiting Jim's Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/841313812611321
    • Remember, several people have been gathering post run at Five West - All are welcome!
  • Sunday 8am:  The Off Season Striders are heading out on Sunday, but I haven't seen the location yet.  Will update when we know.
  • Monday 6pm:  Monday Maniacs are at Dooley's Pub in Rochester.  A nice downtown location for the strong and/or gimpy to run or walk from - thinking of any Zumbro types who might be gimpy!
  • Tuesday 6:15pm:  The Tuesday Trail Crew is going to Millville.. this is a fun, mostly flat trail with a great weather anticipated!   Meet at the ballfield parking lot on the south edge of town.
  • Wednesday 6pm:  All the weather forescasts indicate a great evening for Wednesday!  Let's make it happen.  Speed work on the Byron Track!  - I'll make sure I'm there for the music!  We'll post a suggested workout prior to Wednesday.  - The track is located behind the Byron Middle School.
  • Thursday 6pm:  Team R.E.D. is heading to the Bears Den!  - I know it's a 2nd Thursday of the month, but dog-gone, we messed up when we went to Broadway Pizza as it was suppose to be a Bears Den night!  - We'll be back-to-back Thursdays at the Den for the next two weeks.  Come and enjoy Byron, where it's always 70 and Sunny!
