Grandmas Lodging & Bibs for the Half!

As far as I have heard... everyone who has reserved lodging at the College of St Scholastica has filled their rooms. - With that said, I am also aware of a couple of people still trying to figure out the lodging. If there is anyone still trying to get connected let me know, and I'll get you connected with each other because there are still rooms available at the college!  Let's get everyone in!

Speaking of Grandmas - You can still get in! Several R.E.D. members joined Team Hope last year, and that opportunity exists again this year!  See the instructions from John Hogan below.. John is a great guy and father of the Hogan sisters we all enjoy so much! Your entry fee is not hiked up... yet it all goes to charity!

  • Go to Grandmas webpage, find the Charity Partners, then the Pancreatic Cancer (Team Hope) and click on it. Find Hollys Entourage and then Join Team....
  • The Half Marathon & 5K are still available to join
  • Your entry goes to PanCan and you will get the entry pass word after you join the Team.
  • It takes a week or so after joining the team (and paying) before you actually get the email from Pan Can and the password needed to register on Grandma's website.

The USA Track & Field Series get's underway with the O'Gara's Irish Run 8K!  If you want to race for Team R.E.D. you can get started in March! A lot of people tell me they think they're too slow to race for Team R.E.D. and that's just nonsense.  This is a Team!  We carry each other! All paces are welcome to join the Team R.E.D. race team.  In order to race for Team R.E.D. you need to join USATF and associate yourself with club # 435 Team R.E.D.  http://usatfmn.org/membership

1st Race is ------    O'Gara's Irish Run 8K -  register online at http://www.ogarasirishrun.com/register/  - we typically carpool/caravan to this event and enjoy some post race social time in the cities.

Promo Code for USATF members to receive $5 off entry fee is USATF16. Note that there will be price increases for the entry fee as the race gets closer.

For anyone interested in learning how to direct races, or events... I recommend the following training and it's free!

Rochester Track Club is once again sponsoring a Race Directors' Training Course on Sunday February 28, 2016.

Training is free, open to the public and is full of vitally important information for anyone planning on hosting, sponsoring or directing a race in the next year or two.  Multiple race directors with years of experience will be on hand to share tips, tricks and lessons learned to everyone in attendance.

The location for this Training is the EOC, an Olmsted County building located near the county fairgrounds, address:
1421 3rd Ave SE
Rochester, MN

The training program is approximately 2 hours, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
