More good stuff!

Wow... you all are amazing!  Thursday night, Amy and I had the privilege of presenting a check in the amount of $1845 to the Rochester Flyers - Special Olympics Track Team!

This check represents good works by you all!

A portion of the team is accepting the check.. we were met with great enthusiasm.
As I reflect back on the year, we have made some positive impact for a number of organizations,  You are such a giving Team!  - Including 3 more kids running for FREE in a race last weekend... we will continue to gift kids entries, thanks to the Scholarship Fund, which we as team members fund.

It should also be said, we couldn't do this without our great sponsors! Be sure to thank them and support them!   Links to all their websites are on the right hand side of the blog.  Amazing group that has stuck with us for a long time!

Below, I'm carrying the schedule out a bit further...

Sunday 8am:  Off Season Striders are gathering at Panera South to get out for a run - forecast indicates Sunday will be much more pleasant! Enjoy a walk or run, and stop back for coffee and chatter!
Sunday Anytime after 1pm:  The Melby's are moving and we're having a party!....  Join us in celebration of Shelly, Anna, Madison and Carson Melby's move to Alexandria. The celebration takes place at the Carpenter & Hakes home at 1017 8th Ave NW Byron. Bring the whole family! - Bring beverages and lawn chairs. Bring snacks to pass if you would like. Hope to see you Sunday. Kim & Gail.
Monday 6pm:  Monday Maniacs are hitting one of their favorite locations.  Join us at LTS because Life's Too Short.  - If Sunday is currently looking good, Monday is looking even better!  You can run or walk, and come back for a beverage and talk! LTS is located at 2001 32nd Ave NW Rochester.
Tuesday 6:15pm: The Trail Crew is heading to Oxbow Park.  This is always fun location to connect.  Bring something to drink as a parking lot party could break out... if the weather doesn't permit, the Den is just a short drive away!
Tuesday 9:30pm:  The Night Crew is at it again.  Same location - meet at the trailhead of the Douglas Trail along Valley High Drive in Rochester (between IBM and the Postal Facility).   This group is enjoying some cooler night air, and the post run fun!
Wednesday 6pm:  Let's hit the track again in Byron.  - This is a workout designed to get us all faster! - The track is located behind the Middle School at 601 4th St NW Byron.

Upcoming local(ish) races:  The Rochester Track Club has a nice calendar to keep you up to date where the races are locally.. check it out at

To simplify I pulled a few race links from that calendar...  and one that  a member shared. Always remember, one of our great sponsors, TerraLoco has a weekly 5K and you can see all of their updates via Facebook - a new charity every week! - What a great option - check out their link!
